The olive oil mill dates back to the 1950s and was founded by a group of farmers who decided to join forces and produce one of the best olive oils in the area: Molino de la Merced.
Molino de la Merced Extra Virgin Olive Oil was renamed as such when the CAPI cooperative set up in the Los Mercedarios Convent oil mill, which was founded more than 500 years ago in Écija, cradle of olive oil since Roman times, then known as Astigi.
